Single Candle

Set up: Bed edge with a single candle (or a small cluster of tea-lights) set just out of frame to one side; overheads off. Cheap tea-lights give exactly this warm, single-source glow.

Wardrobe: A dark satin slip. Seated with the head bowed, it stays covered while one shoulder and the neck catch the light.

Camera: Phone on a tripod at seated-chest height, portrait. Self-timer or a remote; expose for the candle-lit shoulder so the rest falls to shadow, and steady the phone — low light wants a calm, still frame.

Pose: Sit on the bed edge, drop your head so the hair falls forward and hides the face, and turn one bare shoulder toward the candle. Rest your hands in your lap and stay still. Face hidden and the room dark, this is one of the gentlest frames for a nervous day — the shadow does the covering and the mood.
