Warm & Held

Set up: A sofa placed to catch low, warm light — golden hour through a window is ideal; on a grey day, a single warm lamp low to one side stands in beautifully.

Wardrobe: A satin slip. The side-lying drape keeps it covered while the curve of the waist reads.

Camera: Phone on a tripod at sofa height, level with you, landscape (4:3). Self-timer or a remote; expose for the golden light on the skin.

Pose: Lie on your side, stretch the bottom leg long, bend the top knee forward, and press up gently onto the supporting forearm so the ribs lift off the cushion — that lift is what defines the waist above the hip. Rest the free hand at your thigh or in your hair and give a soft, warm smile. Propping up (rather than lying flat) keeps the whole line flattering.
