Sunday Couch, Plus-Size
Set up: Identical scene to "Sunday Couch" — neutral throw smoothed over the couch, softbox (or sheer-curtained window / bedsheet-over-a-lamp) placed to one side at forty-five degrees and angled down for that even, professional wrap of light. Keep a light knit throw within reach. This is the same look built for a fuller figure and with the face tucked away for extra comfort.
Wardrobe: A matching satin camisole and shorts sleep set with delicate lace trim. The draped throw across the midsection reads as effortless styling while it skims and conceals the tummy — set it exactly where you feel best.
Camera: Phone on tripod at couch height, 2–3 m back, portrait orientation. Self-timer 10s or remote. Portrait mode ON; tap the lit side of your body and ease exposure down slightly to hold the satin's sheen. Frame the whole length of the couch so your reclining line reads long and luxurious.
Pose: Lie on your side along the couch, propped on one forearm. Stack your hips and draw the top knee forward over the lower leg to carve the waist and emphasize the curve of your hip. Pull the throw across your midsection. Instead of facing the camera, tip your head down toward your raised arm and let your hair fall forward to hide your face — soft, private, and serene.
Body-type adjustments:
- Plus-size/curvy: stack the hips firmly and bring the top knee well forward — it sculpts a beautiful waist-to-hip curve. Let the softbox shadow do the modeling.
- Mid-size/slim: this pose works just as well; arch a touch more at the waist to build the same shape (see tpl-0007 for the face-visible version).
- Anyone concealing the tummy: adjust the throw's edge to sit right where you want the eye to glide past.
Nervous-day note: this is the fully-relaxed version of the couch look — face hidden, body supported, throw under your control. If you love the pose but not the eye contact, this is your shot. (Its twin, tpl-0007, is the same look with the face visible whenever you're ready for it.)
