Backlit in Red

Set up: A window with sheer curtains and bright daylight behind them. Stand side-on, between the camera and the glass.

Wardrobe: A sheer red robe (or any sheer red layer) held loosely — backlit, it glows as an outline rather than revealing any detail. The backlight itself is the coverage.

Camera: Phone on a tripod at hip-to-chest height, portrait. Expose for her face and edge so the window blooms bright behind her but doesn't fully blow out — you want a soft silhouette, not a white void. Self-timer or remote.

Pose: Stand in profile, lift the chin, arch the back gently, and lift a hand into your hair to open the line of the body. Then hold still — the backlight does all the glow. Comfort: because you read as a soft silhouette, this is one of the most flattering and least-exposing looks in the whole library; it works for every body and every comfort level, and your face stays in shadow. Fuller frame: the gentle arch defines the waist against the glow; drop the weight into the back hip and keep the near arm lifted and off the body.
