Wrapped in Red

Set up: Bed beside a window, sheets pulled loosely back; shoot in warm early or late light, or on an overcast day with sheer curtains closed to soften the sun.

Wardrobe: Any red or wine satin robe — a drugstore or discount-store find is perfect — sashed at the waist with the lapels crossed at the chest so it stays fully covered. Add a simple red lip if you like.

Camera: Phone on a tripod at seated-chest height, 2–3 m back, portrait. Self-timer or a remote; tap the window-lit side of your face to set exposure, then nudge it down a touch so the satin highlights stay soft rather than glaring.

Pose: Sit on the bed edge, cross one leg over the other, sash tied and lapels crossed. Roll the shoulders down, rest the hands in your lap, and turn your face toward the light on the exhale. This is the calmest, most-covered look in the collection — if you're nervous starting out, start right here: you're fully wrapped, and the only job is to breathe and let the light be warm. Fuller frame: the crossed lapels and sashed waist draw the eye to a defined middle; keep the chin forward-and-down to lengthen the neck.
