Red Lip at the Vanity

Set up: Any small table or desk with a mirror propped on it, plus a chair or stool — that is a vanity. One warm lamp beside it (or the mirror's own bulbs); room otherwise dim.

Wardrobe: A red lace or satin set with a robe — satin or waffle — slipping off both shoulders. A tube of red lipstick is the prop and the whole story.

Camera: Phone on a tripod set off to one side at seated-eye height, portrait, so it catches you three-quarter as you face the mirror. Position it so the mirror never shows the phone — shoot beside the mirror via self-timer or remote, not as a mirror selfie. Expose for the lamp-lit side of the face.

Pose: Sit tall, let the robe fall off the shoulders, lean toward the mirror, and actually apply (or mime applying) the lip — the raised pinky and the lifted chin do all the elegance for you. Comfort: the getting-ready story gives your hands a real job, which quietly removes every "what do I do with myself?" worry. Fuller frame: the bare shoulders and lifted chin lengthen the neck and sharpen the jaw; keep the near arm just off the body so the waist stays open.
